About the artist in residency project in BOAB Art Gallery:
For his first appearance in Belgium where Hiroyasu Tsuri has been residing for three weeks in BOAB Art Gallery. He has created new works inspired by the city of Antwerp. As a result he came up with a new style of paintings, featuring bright coloured gestural lines, contructed of paintly scrapes and blotches, combined with figurative motives that he found in and around Antwerp’s city. Because he believes the creative process is part of art, the public has been welcome to see him at work during two open studio weekends.
